Course Description

LOTUS 1-2-3  (9.8) - LEVEL 1 

Course Length 1 Day - 8 Hour Class Session

Overview Students will learn how to build, format, and print a basic worksheet

Prerequisite Introduction to Personal Computers 
Window 2000 Introduction  or Windows XP Introduction

Delivery Method Instructor-Led, Group Paced, Classroom-Delivery Learning Model with Structured Hands-On Activities

Benefits Students will learn how to create a basic worksheet by working with ranges of data, using formulas, and changing the appearance of worksheets

Target Student Students enrolling in this course should have a basic understanding of personal computers and of the Windows environment.

Teaches students how to accomplish database and charting tasks

Lotus 1-2-3 (9.8) - Level 3
Teaches students how to work with advanced features of 1-2-3 such as macros, linking files, and advanced formula construction.

Objectives Understand the disadvantages of paper spreadsheets and understand the basics of the 1-2-3 environment by examining a paper spreadsheet and starting the 1-2-3 program.

Create and save a basic worksheet by entering text, values, and formulas; access different areas of a worksheet by using the keyboard and the mouse.

Modify a worksheet by editing existing data; create formulas by using 1-2-3's built in @ Functions; use a number of techniques to access 1-2-3's On-Line Help system.

Insert rows into the worksheet and move data by using shortcut menus and the SmartFill technique.

Copy data and quickly fill ranges with data by using shortcut menus and the SmartFill technique.

Change the appearance of the worksheet by using the Status Bar and the InfoBox.

Prepare a document for printing by using the Spell Check feature and a variety of printing options.

Understand the basis of using three-dimensional workbooks, creating charts, and using SmartMasters
