Course Description


Course Length 1 Day - 8 Hour Class Session

Overview Students will learn intermediate features of Word 97

Prerequisite Introduction to Personal Computers 
Window 2000 Introduction  or Windows XP Introduction
Introduction to Word 97 – Level One

Delivery Method Instructor-Led, Group Paced, Classroom-Delivery Learning Model with Structured Hands-On Activities

Benefits Students will learn about table styles, templates and macros; how to merge documents; multiple-columnar formats and Internet basics.

Target Student Students enrolling in this course should have an understanding of personal computers and Windows. Students should have previous training in Word 97 – Level 1
What's Next Word 97 – Level 3 – Advanced 
The third course in this series teach students how to create forms, use drawings, create reports, control documents, control document sections, use external data and share documents. Students will also learn advanced techniques to use with styles, templates and workplace customization.

Objectives Create, modify, perform calculations in and import data in tables 

Use styles to affect the appearance of paragraphs and create outlines 

Create and use templates and create a fax template 

Merge a document with data to create multiple variations of a document 

Create, run and edit macros 

Format text in columns with graphics; use section breaks to format a document 

Discuss Internet features, create and edit an HTML document and view the document source code 

Adjust Margins - Add and Delete Page Breaks - Create Headers and Footers 

Use Proofing Tools such as the Speller and Thesaurus
