Course Description

POWERPOINT 97 - LEVEL 1

Course Length 1 Day - 8 Hour Class Session

Overview Students will learn the basic skills necessary to begin effectively creating presentations in PowerPoint 97. This course meets the Microsoft Proficiency Guidelines for PowerPoint at the Expert level

.
Prerequisite Introduction to Personal Computers 
Window 2000 Introduction or Windows XP Introduction
Word 97 Level 1
Excel 97 Level 1

Delivery Method Instructor-Led, Group Paced, Classroom-Delivery Learning Model with Structured Hands-On Activities

Benefits Students will learn how to start the program, create and edit slides, incorporate clip art charts and run a slide show

Target Student Students enrolling in this course should understand the basic concepts involved in working with a personal computer (PC). No prior knowledge of PowerPoint is assumed.

What's Next PowerPoint  97 – Level 2 
The second course teaches students how to use intermediate features of PowerPoint 97.

Objectives Start the PowerPoint program, identify on-screen features and navigate through a presentation. 

Create and edit bullet slides 

Use PowerPoint drawing tools to create a slide 

Incorporate clip art and WordArt objects in a slide 

Create and enhance organization charts and create and edit charts by using Microsoft Graph. 

Change the overall appearance of a presentation by using design templates and the Slide Master 

Run a slide show, become familiar with slide show options and add notes to a slide
