Course Description

INTERNET EXPLORER 4.0

Course Length 1 Day - 8 Hour Class Session

Overview Students will learn the basics of how to navigate the Internet using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0. They will also use e-mail (Outlook Express), mailing lists, and newsgroups.

Prerequisite Introduction to Personal Computers 
Windows 95 Introduction  or Windows 98 Introduction

Delivery Method Instructor-Led, Group Paced, Classroom-Delivery Learning Model with Structured Hands-On Activities

Benefits Students will learn what the Internet and World Wide Web are and how to connect to them. They will learn how to find information and communicate with others through e-mail and discussion groups.

Target Student Students enrolling in this course should understand the Windows 95 environment and have experience using the mouse .

Objectives Become familiar with the basic functions of the Internet and Internet Explorer.

Search for information on the Internet and the World Wide Web.

Organize information on the Internet by using Favorites, the Internet Start Page, channels and saved HTML files.

Master the basics of communicating with others on the Internet by using electronic mail (Outlook Express).

Communicate with others on the Internet by using mailing lists and newsgroups.
